Yau kwee family, including 10-yr-old girl, takes free food at reproduction talk

STOMPer Elysia was appalled when she saw this family blatantly consuming plates after plates of refreshments at a reproduction techniques talk at Woodlands Regional Library.

In an email to STOMP today (Oct 4), the STOMPer says:

“This photo was taken during a talk on 'Assisted Reproduction Techniques' at Woodlands Regional Library on Oct 3 at around 4.30pm.

“The talk basically focused on IVF for young couples planning pregnancy. Refreshments were provided after the talk at about 4pm.

“In this picture, we see a group of 3 women and a young girl (possibly under 10 years old) having their food. In fact, there was another older daughter, possibly a secondary school student, who is not in the picture.

“Are the 3 women here to find out more about IVF, together with their daughters? Or are they here to eat plates after plates of food? The talk started at 2 pm and they came in about 3 plus.

“Are these Singaporeans so hungry as to go for such free stuff? Bringing their daughters along as well?

“What values are the kids learning then?

“I think more people need to know about these things and do some reflection.”
